CHERRIE BERYL LETHBRIDGE (GOODRIDGE)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHERRIE BERYL LETHBRIDGE (nee GOODRIDGE) Cherrie died suddenly of a heart attack on February 10, 2009 at home and in the company of her husband and youngest daughter. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Dennis; and her four children Grant (Sandy), Carol (Mike), Scott (Grace) of Burlington, Ontario and Cathy; and five grandchildren Cassie, Steven, Christopher, Catherine and Oliver. She was predeceased by her parents Howard and Beatrice Goodridge. Cherrie attended Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute and later, in 1987 graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a B.A. the same year her youngest daughter graduated from the University of Manitoba. Cherrie worked for many years at the Toronto Dominion Bank and was a former member of the St. Boniface Golf Club and the Assiniboine Curling Club and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a lifetime member of the United Church of Canada where she sang in the choir for many years. She was also a volunteer for many charitable organizations including the hospice care of St. Boniface Hospital. Cherrie enjoyed 28 years at the family cottage on Lake of the Woods - boating, canoeing, watching the wild life and delighting in the red and white pine trees many of which she planted herself all over the lot. Cherrie and the family made many trips to the Canadian Rockies which she loved, especially Moraine Lake. On Dennis's retirement they made trips to Barbados, The Bahamas, Hawaii and California for winter vacations. It was Cherrie's wish that only a family service be conducted. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity in Cherrie's memory. Love You!
