Date of Passing: Feb 10, 2009
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY JANE OLSEN With great joy and sorrow we announce our beloved mothers promotion to LIFE with our Saviour, Jesus Christ on February 10, 2009. She was predeceased by three children, Bob, Karen and Freddie, her husband Cliff Olsen, a brother Jack Sliter and her parents. Surviving are her other children Margaret Blackburn (Rick), Wendy Phillips (Ted), Mary Snyder (Randy), Timothy Hunter, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; sisters Phyllis Cobb, Janet Boonstra, and brother Bill Sliter and many nieces and nephews. Mom gave of herself unconditionally to everyone she met and served the Lord by serving others. Mom lived her life and trained up her children according to Matthew 25:40; we think of her when we read, ... in as much as you have done it to the least of these my brethren you have done it to me. With many friends and family across the country there will be three Celebration Services: Sunday, February 15 at 3:00 p.m. Riverwood Church 257 Riverton Avenue in Winnipeg; Tuesday, February 17 at 2:00 p.m. Lundar Lutheran Church 16 - 1st Avenue, Lundar; and Saturday, March 7, 3:00 p.m. (her birthday) at Rosscarrock Church of Christ, 1140 - 40th Street SW, Calgary. Private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request you join them in giving to a special Missionary Project, in Mom's name, through Lakeside Gospel Chapel, Box 86, St. Laurent, MB R2C 2S0. Donation baskets will also be available at services. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
