Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN HOFSTED June 11, 1941 - February 11, 2009 With great sadness we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather and friend, John Hofsted on February 11, 2009. John will be deeply missed by his wife Margaret; sons Greg (Tara) and Derrick; grandchildren Brynn and Aiden; sisters Lillian (Maurice) and Gertrude (Walter) along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Marie Hofsted. John was employed by TrueServ (McLeod's) for 44 years, retiring in 2004. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His favourite pastimes included travel and spending time at the family cabin on Brereton Lake. John's family extends great appreciation to CancerCare Manitoba and the Palliative Care Program. A celebration of John's life will be held on Wednesday, February 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson in the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or CancerCare Manitoba.
