ANDRE GALIPEAULT 1938 - 2009 Peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2009 surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his mother in 1981, father in 2001, brother-in-law Ben in 1988 and his devoted daughter Debbie, December, 2008. Andre is survived by his loving wife Shirley and his sister Claire. Survived also by his children: Grant (Marianne), Donna, Darlene (Phil) and Darcie (Dean); grandchildren: Mellissa, Blaine, Blair, Christopher (Stef), Mary Francis, Garrett, Amber, Angus and Falin; stepchildren: Diana (Craig), Larry, Terry (Sherry), Cindy, and Roger (Keri), as well as step-grandchildren Mike, Dale, Lindsay and Alesha. Andre has been in the food industry for 45 years, working at numerous restaurants and nursing homes. He worked for Central Park Lodge from 1966-1978. He left to run his own catering business at Northgate Copa Banquet Hall until 1986, returning to Central Park Lodge until his retirement in 2004. Andre has been a member of the Chef's association for 40 years. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 17 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Interment to follow. Special thanks to Dr. Loepp, Concordia Staff, Paramedics, MS3 (HSC) staff, Home Care and St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit and family for their support. In lieu of flowers, donations in Andre's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
