ADEEN IRENE FERRIS LUCH (nee CHAMBERS) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother on February 2, 2009 after a lengthy stay at Whitemouth Personal Care Home in Whitemouth, Manitoba. Adeen was born February 21, 1925 at Hensall, Ontario the second daughter of George and Violet Chambers. Adeen lived and worked in St. Catharines for many years before moving to Manitoba with Bill in 1981. Wherever she lived she was known for her generosity, kindness and sense of humor. She is survived and dearly missed by her husband of 53 years, Bill Luch; her son Doug Ferris and his wife Kathy; her daughter Dianne Campbell and her husband Patrick; six grandsons, Paul, David, Tyler, Taryn, Sean and Kell; three great-grandchildren, Heather, Cael and Lauren and two great-great-grandchildren, Luc and Ava. She is also survived by her sisters, Erma Dell Porter, and Norma Adams and her husband Ernie of St. Catharines, Ontario and many nieces and nephews. Adeen was predeceased by her parents George and Violet Chambers and three older brothers, Bill, Lorne and Ray. Adeen was lovingly cared for by the staff at Whitemouth Personal Care at Whitemouth, Manitoba for the last four and one half years. Our family wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks for their kindness and compassion. A celebration of Adeen's life will be held in St. Catharines, Ontario on July 11, 2009, the location to be announced. In tears we saw you sinking We watched you fade away, You suffered much in silence You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage Your spirit did not bend, But still you kept on fighting Until the very end. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you And whispered come to Me. So when we saw you sleeping So peacefully free from pain, We could not wish you back To suffer that again. In God's own time, we will meet again.
