PHYLLIS MAXWELL Peacefully passed away at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on February 13, 2009, at the age of 93. Predeceased by her loving husband Colin (2000) and her adoring grandson Christopher Simm (2001). Dear mother to Jill Simm of Guelph, Douglas Maxwell (Marcie McLean) of Victoria, BC and mother-in-law to Graham Simm of Oakville. Cherished Grandma to Aaron Simm of Fort Smith, NT. Phyllis had an accomplished nursing career. Graduating from Toronto Sick Children's Hospital (class of 39), Phyllis became a Red Cross Nursing Sister overseas during the Second World War. In the early 60s she was the Supervisor of the Outpatient Department at Children's Hospital in Winnipeg. Phyllis retired as a Public Health Nurse for the City of Winnipeg. As per Phyllis' wishes there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
