Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNEST EDWARD KELUNICK Ernest Kelunick (Mo) with his loving wife Joyce by his side, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14th, 2009, at the age of 78 at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital in Vernon, BC. Ernie was predeceased by his mother (Elsie) and father (Paul); brother (Robert); sister (Zelma); son (Randy) and will be lovingly remembered by his wife Joyce; his son Danny (Carol); son Martin; daughters, Jodene (Brian), Cindy (Rick), Teresa (Steven); grandchildren, Dana, Lauren, Andrea, Tammy, Kiana, Cory, and Nicole as well as extended family and good friends of many years. Ernie was born in Elphinstone, MB in 1930 and moved to Winnipeg with his family where he met his sweetheart Joyce Moore and they were married in 1951. They were kept very busy with their children, and as a family always managed to enjoy the summers camping, fishing, and owning trailers in Miami Beach, MB and Lee River, MB. As a skilled carpenter, he spent most of his working life in the construction/architectural field. He built his family a home in St. James in 1961 where most of the children grew up and went to school. After the children had left home, Ernie and Joyce moved to St. Albert, AB in 1981 where he continued working until 1987 when they moved back to Winnipeg. In 1993 they semi-retired to Vernon, BC. In Vernon, Ernie and Joyce continued to work as apartment managers for a few more years. Curling, fishing, golfing, and bridge were a few of Ernie's great interests. Competitive cribbage was also something he enjoyed playing with Joyce in his retirement years. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. LePage and the staff at Vernon Jubilee Hospital for all of their care. According to Ernie's wishes, there will be no formal service. Arrangements entrusted to Personal Alternative Funeral Services, Vernon, BC.
