Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGARY MOFFAT It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Moffat, at the age of 60 years on February 13, 2009. Gary was born August 29, 1948 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan where he spent the majority of his life until 1994 when he moved with his family to Winnipeg, MB. He retired after spending 30 years employed with CP Rail as Senior Car Control Representative. Gary loved and lived life to its fullest as best he could and enjoyed spending time with his family. Some of his favourite activities included listening to what he defined as good music' (The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Leonard Cohen, etc.), playing guitar, spending time with his dog, Penny Lane, and going for drives in the country with his wife, Dianne. He passed on his love of photography to his daughters and enjoyed taking pictures of the prairies. Gary was predeceased by his father, Walter, and leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 36 years Dianne, daughters Adrienne (Rob) Cornelsen, Robin Moffat (Uri Portillo), his mother Elsie Moffat, his brothers Walter, Garnet, and Darrel Moffat and numerous friends and family back home' in Moose Jaw. Special thanks to the Lung Transplant Team at HSC; Dr. Unruh, Dr. Bshouty, Dr. Kepron and Claire Reuben and also to Dr. Salem of the Vista Place Medical Centre. A celebration of Gary's life will take place at Neil Bardal Funeral Home, 3030 Notre Dame Ave., across from Brookside Cemetery, on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Gary's name to the Manitoba Lung Association www.mb.lung.ca.
