MARGARET ANN JONES January 2, 1948 - February 12, 2009 Peacefully during the evening of February 12 Margaret passed away at the Grace Hospice in Winnipeg. Margaret was born in Hamiota, the eldest daughter of Alba and Harvey Jones. The family moved to Carman where Margaret commenced elementary school and later to Winnipeg where she graduated from Westwood Collegiate. Her working career was in the insurance industry then later at Grace Hospital. Margaret donated countless hours of community service as a volunteer at Deer Lodge Hospital in recent years. Margaret loved to travel, in the early years with her parents and more lately with the Friendship Force of Manitoba. Her travels took her to Europe, Australia, South America and extensively in North America. Margaret was predeceased by her younger sister Donna in 1961 and her mother Alba in 2007. The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at Grace Hospital, Grace Home Services, and the Grace Hospice for the exceptional care provided for Margaret over the past few months. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 19 at 2:00 p.m. at the Grace Community Church, (formerly Charleswood Gospel Temple) located on the Perimeter Highway just south of Roblin Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Margaret's memory may be made to the Grace Hospice.
