MARJORIE RAYNER It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Marjorie Lillian Rayner (nee Ager) on Friday, February 13, 2009 at Concordia Hospital with her family by her side. She leaves to mourn her passing her children, Ted (Margaret), Bill (Karen), Audrey (Bob), Sharon (Don), Donna (Dave), Cathy (John), Allan (Carrie); grandchildren, Nora, Susie (Michael), Rob (Mel), Kristine (Marc), Crystal (Glenn), Chris (Amanda), Shawn (Connie), Curtis, Shannon, Kyle, Corey, Brittany, Jeffrey (Courtney), Justin, Courtney, Kayla, Devon; great-grandchildren Joseph, Carlee, Karissa, Sarah, Noah, Lauren, Chelsea, Caden, Avery, Michael, Tristan, and Heidi; sister Grace Fortescue and niece Linda. Mom was predeceased by Donald, her husband of 61 years and her parents Rose and Robert Ager. Mom was born on July 16, 1922 in Winnipeg and resided all of her life in Springfield, Manitoba. She met Don, the love of her life, in 1939 and they were married on May 22, 1940. Mom and Dad were an inseparable pair, working together raising their family, building their home, fixing or painting cars or working in their garden. Mom loved gardening, animals, reading and going on short excursions in rural Manitoba. Although she was a shy, quiet, caring person, she was the rock that held our family together. She had an incredible sense of humour, and we will always remember her unique British wit. Mom, although you have left a huge void in our lives, we take solace in the fact that you and Dad were reunited for Valentine's Day and are together forever again. Love you always. A celebration of Mom's life will be held Friday, February 20, 2009, 2:00 p.m. at Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Ave. West, Winnipeg, Rev. Jeff Cook officiating. Interment to follow in the family plot in Old Kildonan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of your choice. Transcona Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
