GEERTRUIDA JOHANNA (TRUUS) FEELEUS (nee HELMINK) July 12, 1931 - February 13, 2009 It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Oma, Big Oma and wife. Mom passed away peacefully after a brief illness with lung cancer at her home with her family at her side, at the age of 77. Truus found joy in life's simple pleasures - enjoying the summer sitting outside watching Dad's garden grow, playing cards, a bouquet of flowers and watching her stories . Mom was all about enjoying life by spending time with her family and friends. She was always the life of the party and was very young at heart. Mom was born in Winterswyk, Netherlands and she was extremely proud of her heritage. She leaves behind her husband of 44 years, Leonard Feeleus and was a loving and caring mother to Annelies (Barend) Renaud, Yvonne Sikkenk, Marianne Feeleus (Mike Foubert), Kitty Sikkenk, Leo (Shannon) Feeleus, Arnold Feeleus, Tina (Peter) Yalelis, Robbie Feeleus and Diana Feeleus. Oma to 13 grandchildren and a Big Oma to seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held (today) Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with a reception to follow. We extend a heartfelt thank you to cousin Karen Dyck who helped us care for our Mom when in need. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Your memory is our keepsake, with which we will never part. God has you in His keeping and we have you in our hearts. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
