ISABELLA (BILLIE) WILSON AIKMAN With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Auntie Billie on February 19, 2009 at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 91. She was predeceased by her parents, Margaret and James Aikman, sisters Mary, Ella, Margaret, Jean and her brother Robert. She leaves behind nephew Doug Duncan, great-nieces Michelle (Grant) Thorsteinson, Kristin (Derek) Duncan of Winnipeg; nephew, Jim (Lajla) Dight, and niece Margaret (Frank) Bird, great-nieces Roberta Dight, Karen (Sat) Gill, great-nephews David (Faye) Bird, and Michael (Francesca) Bird in Vancouver, and many great-great-nephews and nieces. Billie graduated from nursing at Winnipeg General Hospital in 1940. She spent her entire career working at the General. Upon retiring she spent five months of the year at the cottage with her sister Jean and family. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre for the care she received over the past few years. In true Billie fashion, she requested not to have a service - no fuss.
