SUSAN BALAMATOWSKI After many trips to far and exciting places, Sue's adventures were slowed during the last four years as she struggled with grit and determination to regain her health. With her infectious giggle and a smile that lit up a room, she was always meeting new people. Sue's many friends spanned a variety of individuals from her life's journey of family, school, work, travel and illness. Sue's struggle ended on February 17, 2009, however, a new adventure begins where more friends will be made. Susan Yvonne Balamatowski was born February 6, 1958 in St. Boniface, the precious daughter of Therese and Boris Balamatowski. Sue is survived by her mother Therese, long time companion Dean Romans and daughter Vanessa, goddaughter Vanessa Lambert, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In accordance with her wishes, a celebration of her life will be held on Friday, February 27, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the Canad Inn Club Regent Hotel, 1415 Regent Avenue West, Winnipeg. Her request was for family and friends to gather together and share in setting her free for her next adventure. If so desired, donations to CancerCare Manitoba are appreciated.

Hello. This may be 9 years too late, but I only found out about this through my high school reunion page. I was reading the passages and found out about Susan there. I only knew Susan thru high school, but I do remember her as being the talk of the class (in a good way.) I am saddened to find out she is gone.
