DAVID LORNE CUNNINGHAM It is with deep sadness our family announces the passing of David Lorne Cunningham on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the age of 59. Dave will be deeply missed by his loving wife Dawn; his three beautiful children, Ryan (Glenna), Heather (Paul), and Ian (Aki); mother Lois Knight; brother Rick (Gina); aunt Alice Mesler; mother-in-law Grace Beatie; brother-in-law Brent Beatie (Debbie); sisters-in-law Jan Hallett (Tom) and Kim Vulliez (Gary) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dave was predeceased by his father Thomas Cunningham; step-father Stanley Knight and father-in-law Robert Beatie. Dave had many accomplishments throughout his life including obtaining his CA designation in 1982. He loved to spend summers at the cabin with his family. Fishing, hunting and bird watching were some of his favourite pastimes. He was an avid reader and in one sitting could finish a novel. Dave and his family cherished the companionship and support of his good friend, Carter and so many other caring friends. Dave loved his family immensely and was extremely proud of his wife and three children. His laughter and love will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank the staff at CancerCare Manitoba for their compassionate care over the past year. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Anglican Church located at 830 North Drive in Fort Garry. In lieu of flowers, Dave's wish was to have a park bench erected at St. Vital Park. Donations can be made to the trust account at Cambrian Credit Union, 735 Pembina Hwy (925-2670).
