CLIFFORD LEACH December 25, 1912 - February 12, 2009 Clifford Leach passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2009, in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 96 years. He was predeceased by his lovely wife Lillian Leach (nee Cook) in 2007. Cliff was blessed with a long and fulfilling life and brought happiness to all who met him. He and Lil have two children, Cliff now of White Bear Lake, Manitoba and Alison, now of Calgary. Cliff retired from Saskatchewan Wheat Pool in Winnipeg after a long and distinguished career as an accountant and executive. He, like Lil, had an active social life and was fortunate to have a strong family and many friends. Cliff and Lil were both raised in Winnipeg and spent many happy summers at their cottage on West Hawk Lake. Their cabin remains a legacy for their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In 1985, Cliff and Lil, who were then in their early 70s, moved to Calgary to live adjacent to Ali, her husband Rick Dixon and their three granddaughters. Lil and Cliff had a big influence on all those who knew them; especially their five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Cliff will be lovingly remembered and missed by his son Clifford, wife Gail and their sons David and Andy and their spouses and families; their daughter Alison, husband Rick and their daughters Pam, Jill and Kim and their spouses and families. A private celebration of Cliff's life will be held in Calgary in early April.
