JEFFREY W. LAFRENIER The Canuck Jeff passed away after a brief illness at the age of 50. He was born in Winnipeg on March 4, 1958 and moved with his family to Wayzata, MN when he was 7. He graduated from Wayzata High School in 1977. Joined the Army in 1978 and spent three years in Germany and three years on the East Coast. He loved to play sports when he was in school, hockey being his favourite. He remained an avid sports fan. Jeff had a wonderful sense of humour and was a fun person to be around. His beautiful rumbling voice and delightful laugh will be missed by all. He was a wonderful son, father, husband and friend. He is survived by his wife, Whitefeather; his daughter Tess, her mother Melanie and sister Andrea all in Rochester, MN; son Jason; daughter Melissa; grandchildren, Dallas, Kylie, Zab and Reggie all in Ohio; precious son to mother Phyllis (Vern); father Al in Canada; sister Tracy (Tony); nieces, Tanya, Tami, Tina and their father, Lloyd; special aunt Lorraine (Thexton) and uncle Jim of Canada; and other relatives and friends. Memorial service 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata, with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be sent to Root River State Bank, Chatfield, MN, 55923 in trust for Tess LaFrenier.
