MARGARET ANN EFFLER (nee SMITH) May 11, 1931 February 17, 2009 It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Margaret, on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the Victoria General Hospital with her family by her side. Remaining to cherish Margaret's memory is her husband of 51 years Barry; her children Barry (Johanna), Laurie (Bill), Bill and Wendy (Mike); her beloved grandchildren John, Margot, Colton, Tara, Kristy and Dylan; her brothers who dearly loved to tease her and be teased in return are Gary (Jean) Smith, Jim (Pat) Smith and Greg Smith; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Bill and Audrey Smith; brothers Bill and Glen Smith and grandson Drew Delongchamp. Margaret's family and home were always her first priority. She loved reading, gardening and bingo. Margaret was well known for her love of animals; as a child she brought home many strays much to her mothers chagrin. She will be missed by her cat Sir Tom and dog Rusty. In compliance with Margaret's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Thank you to all the doctors and nursing staff of the Victoria General Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers donations in Margaret's name may be made to St. Amant Centre.
