MARY CAMPBELL Peacefully at home with those she loved best, Mary succumbed to the brain tumor she had stoically held at bay for the past two years. She is survived by her loving spouse Bryan Kinrade, her mother Donalda Campbell, brothers John (Dee) Campbell and Jamie (Sandi) Campbell and de-niece' Julianna who adored her. Her father Stewart Campbell predeceased her in 1984. She has also left behind four legged loves, Jayne, Katie, Suzy, Sam and Pearl. Just a few of the countless animals, birds and reptiles that Mary took care of and adopted into her life over the years. She was always there for those who could not advocate for themselves and to explain why treefrogs change colour, and when to leave a baby bird to fend for itself. Mary was born in Winnipeg. She attended Kelvin High School and worked as a periodontal assistant for 25 years in the city. When not feeding the birds and taking in strays on their acreage in Winnipeg, Mary spent her days at Lake Malachi. She had spent all her summers there growing up and in later years was known as the Sheriff, always keeping out a watchful eye for those who might be in trouble on the water. Mary's sense of fun as well as stern admonishments when something wasn't fair will be missed terribly...but we know that a long line up of four legged friends are again surrounding her and getting reacquainted. The family would like to thank the Palliative nurses, doctors and home care workers who aided Bryan in granting Mary's wish to be cared for at home during her illness...especially indebted to the warm heart and kind caring hands of Dolores. At Mary's request there will not be a funeral. A celebration of her life will take place this summer at the lake. In lieu of flowers donations in Mary's name could be made to CancerCare Manitoba and/or World Wildlife Fund.

Hi Bryan, I am very very sorry to hear that Mary has passed. I've known for awhile that it was coming but you know that we hope it will not happen. She was a very special person who wanted the best for you. I felt very at home with Mary. Talk to you soon Bryan. Greg - Posted by: Greg Paulson (Family) on: Feb 21, 2009
