Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT SAMUEL SMITH April 9, 1922 - February 23, 2009 Robert (Bob) passed away peacefully in hospital on Monday. Robert will be sadly missed by his children, Cody (Bonnie), Patsy (Gaetan); grandchildren, Christina (Paul), Curtis (Cheryl); great-grandchildren, Dominick, Marisa, Mya and Alois; extended family granddaughters, Sandra (Tom) and Gail (Steve); grandson Glenn (Tammy); brother Thomas (Roni); and sister Gwen (Frank). He was with the Q.O.C.H. in the Second World War. After the army, he worked in the mines at Red Lake, Ontario, Burns Meats in Winnipeg and 20 years or so with the City of Winnipeg refuse department. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 2 at Neil Bardal Inc., 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery) at 1:30 p.m., with viewing at 1:00 p.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the War Amps of Canada (MB Branch), 113 Marianne Road, Winnipeg, MB R2R 1W4.
