Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOUIS PAUL GLADISH Peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2009 at St. Boniface General Hospital, Louis Paul Gladish passed away at the age of 89 years. Louis will be dearly missed by his wife Mary, of 56 years of marriage. Dad will be remembered forever by his children Louise (Keith) Myshkowsky, Daniel (Louan) Gladish and Carol (Norm) Fossheim. A beloved grandfather (PaPa) to Daniel, Dana and Angela Myshkowsky; Jeremy, Kiara and Cameron Gladish; Stephanie, Amy and Michael Fossheim. He is also survived by his sisters: Rosie, Nellie and Victoria and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Born in St. Norbert on March 31, 1919, Louis married Mary on August 31, 1952. Dad was a pioneer in the planning and building of St. Andrew Bobola Parish where he was parishioner all his life. Dad loved to be with people and energetically shared his hobby of grafting trees, and shopping to find the best deals in town. He was truly a handyman and spent many hours helping family and friends do whatever jobs needed to be done. We have fond memories of camping with dad which often included family and friends. Many more memories were shared at the family cottage on Black Sturgeon Lake with his precious grandchildren, relatives and friends. He would often be found sitting in the gazebo, watching the sunsets and listening to the loons. Although we are saddened by his death, we are forever grateful for the love and laughter he shared with all of us. Prayers will be held on Saturday, February 28 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Andrew Bobola Roman Catholic Church, 541 Marion Street, followed by Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. also in the Church with Rev. Fr. Sebastian Gacki, presiding. Interment will follow in Glen Lawn Cemetery, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. We would like to thank Dr. Kevin Coates for his great care and compassion for dad. We'd also like to thank his home care nurses and 6A South at St. Boniface Hospital for making his last days so comforting. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Andrew Bobola Parish. You may be gone, but will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace PaPa.
