Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNIE TRAKALO July 7, 1926 - February 25, 2009 Peacefully with her family at her side, Mom passed away at Concordia Hospital. Mom will be forever lovingly remembered by her children, Sally (Tom) Shymko, Pat (Don) Oster, Leonard (Lynda), Ron (Kathy) and Allan; eight grandchildren, Craig (Melanie) Oster, Sheri (Blake) Russell, Chantal (Keith) Tkachuk, Michelle, Caitlin, Michael, Jessalynn and Serena Trakalo; eight great-grandchildren, Matthew, Braeden, Taryn, Maya, Ella, Kira, Annika and Levi. Mom is also survived by her sisters, Helen (Mike) Grocholski, Stella Cherneki and Rose Esliger; brother Paul (Audrey) Philipchuk, and also numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband Mike; parents Sam and Mary Philipchuk; brothers, Peter, Mike, John and sister Olga. Mom was very caring, giving and compassionate who gave us unconditional love. Mom's greatest joy was cooking and having her family together for Sunday dinners and all special occasions. We have the greatest respect, loyalty and love for our mother. A celebration of Mom's life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Interment to follow at Meleb Cemetery. Special thanks to all caregivers at St. Francis Ward at Holy Family Home, Dr. Babick, and especially the staff at N3 East Concordia Hospital.
