ALFREDA BEATRICE HEWLETT After a brief illness, Alfreda died in the early hours of Wednesday, February 25, 2009. She passed away in the presence of her family, and was supported by the excellent care and comfort provided by the staff of Golden West Centennial Lodge. Alfreda leaves her son, David Hewlett (Susan Morrow), her daughter Joan Hagborg (Stan), and her brother John Low (Elaine). She was a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother, and over the past 40 years she received endless joy from being a part of the activities, achievements and interests of these young people . Her great gift to all of us was unconditional love, and quiet support for all of our endeavors. As per her wishes, there will not be a formal service of remembrance. We ask those who wish to commemorate her life to make a donation to the Salvation Army or the Winnipeg Humane Society. Thank you to the staff of Golden West for the thoughtful comfort that you provided to the family in the past few days.
