EDITH AUGUSTA FARGHER January 31, 1919 - February 25, 2009 Edith Fargher, long time resident of St. Vital, passed away February 25, 2009 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Anne Fargher, brothers George, Arthur, John and her beloved sister Jean. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Kathleen Fargher of Cranbrook, and Terry of Victoria, BC; nieces and nephews Anne of Toronto, ON, George (Kathie) of Vernon, BC, Gail (Danny) of Red Deer, AB, John Jr. (Dianne) of Cranbrook and Barbara (Raymond) of Vancouver, BC. Also, great nephews and niece Matthew of Vernon, Shawn of Red Deer and Ashley of Calgary, AB. Edith had a long successful career with McLeod's department stores. She enjoyed playing golf and was a life long member of Niakwa Country Club. She belonged to St. Mary's Road United Church IODE and was also a member of the St. Vital Historical Society. Edith enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and always enjoyed watching baseball, hockey, curling and golf. The family would like to thank special friends Jean-Pierre and Roger for their support, care and kindness. We want to express our appreciation to all providers of the WRHA particularly Home Care, Riverview Health Centre, St. Boniface Hospital and the Palliative Care Program and our deepest and most sincere gratitude to those who so professionally, skillfully and compassionately comforted Edith in her last days and hours. Also, a very special Thank You! to everyone at Dakota House. It is there where Edith's heart remained. A very special home! Viewing will be held on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
