EMILY WIRGAU Emily Wirgau of Narcisse, MB passed away suddenly, on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at her home. Emily was predeceased by her parents Charles and Elma Thorburn; husband Joseph Wirgau; brother Floyd Thorburn; brothers-in-law Raymond Gilson, Carl, Steve, and Murray Wirgau, Glen McMahon; sisters-in-law Lavina Wirgau, Eleanor McMahon, and Frances Weser. Emily is survived by her son Lee (Cynthia), grandchildren Riley, Brooklyn, Brady; son Neal (Christine), grandchild Emma; sisters Violet Gilson and Linda Gurney; sisters-in-law Evelyn Paridaen, Anne Hyworan, Dorothy Kiss, Rose Kunzelman, Bernice (Cecil) McMahon, and Caroline (John) Myskiw; brother-in-law Peter Gurney and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was born February 26, 1939. She was raised and lived in the Narcisse area all her life. Emily and Joseph were married on May 13, 1961 and lived on the farm where they raised their family, enjoyed gardening, caring for their animals and watching wildlife. Mom loved to listen and dance to old time waltzes. Her favourite activity was spoiling her grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 3 at 1:30 p.m. at the Inwood Community Hall with interment to follow at the Inwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Vigfusson, Lloyd Gurney, Ryan Laing, Eugene Paridaen, Finley Myskiw, Leon Myskiw, George Wirgau, Scott Gilson.
