Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA ANNE BLOCKER (nee Brady) (Red) August 31, 1948 - February 27, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother and Grandmother Patricia Anne Blocker on Friday, February 27th, 2009. Pat passed away peacefully at her home in Winnipeg after a life long battle with Heart Disease and Type II Diabetes. She is survived by her son Kirk (Jenn), daughter Kelly (Marcello) and son Courtney (Melissa), sisters Pamela and Pauline, and grandchildren Hunter and Rustin. Pat was predeceased by her mother, Marie Mobry in 2001. Pat was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, as well as spending some years living in Dugald, Manitoba. Pat loved caring for people in need, and made her life's work as a Residential Home Worker, working until her retirement in 2008. Some of her many talents were drawing and painting, dancing a mean jive, and cooking the best comfort foods. Some of Red's best memories were with the Winnipeg Blues music community. A come and go memorial reception for close family and friends will take place Wednesday, March 4th at 608 Montrose St., Winnipeg between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. An evening celebration of Red's life will take place at the BellaVista Restaurant, 53 Maryland St., Winnipeg (date and time to be determined). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. You can shed tears that I've gone, or you can smile because I've lived.
