LILLIAN BEATRICE BENSON Peacefully on March 1, 2009, Lillian Benson at the age of 88 passed away with her family at her side at the Golden Links Lodge. Mom previously resided at the Rosewood. Lillian will be sadly missed by her daughters Darlene (David) Kilgour and Elaine Miller; grandchildren Michelle (Corey), Dean, Jo-anne (Acacio), James (Eriko), Jennifer (Michael); great-grandchildren Joanna, Matthew, Anthony, Justin, Riley, Keijiro, Liam, Evan, Aidan; brothers Harold, Gerald (Carole); sister Loraine; sisters-in-law Betty and Beth as well as many nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband Alfred in 1996 and daughter Audrey in 1990; brothers John, Lloyd, Fred; sister Alice; brother-in-law Ken and sisters-in-law Freda and Jeannette. Mom worked for many years at Quintons until her retirement. Mom centered her life around her family. We all enjoyed many years of camping together, playing cards and family get togethers. Mom enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking and bowling. FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS Pallbearers will be Robert Miller, Douglas Kilgour, Dean Miller, James Kilgour, Gary Gibbons and Corey Walker. Thanks to Dr. F. Salem for his care. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Golden Links Lodge for their loving care and support. Funeral service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. with interment and reception to follow.
