NETTIE HEBERT March 22, 1922 February 28, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on February 28, 2009. Nettie peacefully passed away at Victoria General Hospital after a short battle with cancer, which she bore with strength and courage. Remaining to forever cherish her memory is her daughter, Joan; grandchildren, Jennifer (Rod), Sean, Karen (Mark), Joanne (Jerry), and Lisa; and six great-grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her in-laws, especially her sister-in-law Rose, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Matthew, daughter, Gail Ann, brothers, Harry, Paul and Murray, and son-in-law, Leif. Nettie was born in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, on March 22, 1922, to Teenie and Peter Krovats. She met and married the love of her life, Matthew Joseph Hebert, on October 20, 1941. Nettie's door was always open to family and friends, and she happily welcomed everyone with a good home-cooked meal. She loved entertaining, and especially enjoyed playing cards. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses who cared for Nettie at the Victoria General Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009, at 2:00 pm at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation.
