DOROTHY LABELLE Peacefully on March 1, 2009 at the Victoria General Hospital, Dorothy Anne (nee Hildebrandt) Labelle passed away at the age of 65 years. Dorothy was a compassionate woman and her beautiful smile will be remembered forever. She greatly loved her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her husband Leon, children Paul Friesen (Desiree), Rebecca Friesen, Matthew Friesen, Maggie Friesen, step-children Andre Labelle (Jean), Pauline Labelle. Her siblings Peggy Wiebe (Jim), Carol Berg (Bob), Elaine Bremer (Jim), James Hildebrandt (Jinell), John Hildebrandt, Joey Hildebrandt (Sharon), as well as many very close friends and neighbours. She was predeceased by her first husband Raymond Friesen and brother David Hildebrandt. Dorothy grew up in Gretna/Blumenort, Manitoba. She graduated from Normal School and taught until the birth of her son Paul in 1970. She raised her four children in the Fort Richmond area. Dorothy operated a daycare facility in her own home, for close to 25 years. In 2003, she married Leon Labelle. We would like to thank the staff of the Victoria General Hospital for their care and compassion. Flowers are gratefully declined; donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba in memory of Dorothy. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the Fort Richmond Baptist Church, 10 Radcliffe Road, Fort Richmond. A private family gathering will be held at the Labelle residence following the service. Interment will take place at a later date. We all know that she is now in a very beautiful peaceful place with her Lord in Heaven.
