LOUIS CHLOPECKI Peacefully with his family by his side, Dad passed away on March 2, 2009 into eternal rest at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Elsie (nee Beer), his children, Kathy (Ed), Mathew, Justin and Michael; Ken (Michele), John and Zack, Richard, Chelsey and Samantha; Linda (Dean), also surviving him is his sister Mary and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews. Lou was predeceased by his parents, three brothers and four sisters. Born in Malonton, MB on August 28, 1924. Dad grew up on the family farm. He was employed by Canada Post as a letter carrier for 27 years, retiring in 1989. Dad loved his work. The greatest joy was meeting people along his route. Special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff at the Grace Hospital 3rd Floor South ward, and in ICU for all the care, comfort and support. Funeral service will take place on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with viewing one half hour prior to the service.
