HERMINO MONIZ Peacefully, with all his family by his side, Hermino passed away on March 3, 2009 at the age of 78 years. He was born on June 14, 1930 in Ribeirinha, Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal. Hermino was predeceased by his parents Francisco Torres Moniz and Adelina da Encarnaçao Barbosa as well as his granddaughter Kristen. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 50 years, Maria da Conceiçao Moniz; two children, Carlos (Helen) Moniz, Maria Eduarda Moniz. Besides his dear wife and children he leaves to mourn his two grandchildren, Brittany and Lindsey, his brothers and sisters, Marinao Barbosa (Clotilde) Moniz, Olinda Maria Barbosa (Luis) Vieira, Laudalino Barbosa (Maria de Lurdes) Moniz, and Elisa Maria Barbosa (Manuel) Silva as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends. We would like to thank the nurses of Palliative Care who came to help our dad. A special thanks to Tammy-Lee for her support and care of our dad. Pallbearers will be Adriano Medeiros, Alfredo Aguiar, Joe Lopes, Adilson Medeiros, Tim Aguiar, Zachray Aguiar and John Lopes. Prayers will be said on Thursday, March 5 at 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 6, at 10:00 a.m. also at the church with Very Rev. José Eduardo Medeiros, V.F. as celebrant with interment at Assumption Cemetery.
