SOPHIE KOZORIZ (nee BANERA) It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Sophie Kozoriz, of Camp Morton, MB on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Health Sciences Centre. Mom passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Sophie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Mike; children Sonia (Doug), Barbara (Deary), Lorraine (Bruce), Sandra (Morley), David (Jay) and Ted (Leslie); and four grandchildren who she loved dearly, Matthew (Nicole), Robert (Diane), Ashley (Dexter) and Kyle. Sophie was born in Malonton, MB. She married Mike in 1951 and they settled in Camp Morton where they raised their family. Sophie spent most of her working career at Lakeside Camp with the Society for Crippled Children and Adults. There she made many friends with her kind and gentle ways. The family would like to express their heartfilled thanks to Sandra and the doctors and nurses of Ward GH3 at the Health Sciences Centre for the love and care shown to Sophie. In accordance with Sophie's wishes no funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.
