GREGORY ALLAN FROST October 16, 1948 - March 9, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Greg Frost after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Greg was predeceased by his father Charles, mother Eileen (nee Cooney), stepmother Phyllis, brothers Bob and Ted and sister Margaret. Greg was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be in our hearts forever. He is survived by his loving wife Kathy (nee Terentiak), son Scott (Kathy), daughter Tanya (Graham) and his special little grandson DJ, brothers Bill (Alva) and Gordon (Heather), sisters Louise and Janet (Brent) and brother-in-law Paul Sr. Lamirande, as well as many friends and relatives. Throughout the last four years, Greg enjoyed his work at CAA and had made many good friends there that meant very much to him, above all - Michael. Thanks for the Starbucks Mike. The family would like to extend a special thanks - especially to Tony - to the staff at Riverview Health Centre for all their wonderful care and compassion in their time of need. Tonight the stars are gleaming On a lonely, silent grave, Where sleeps in dreamless slumber The one we loved but could not save. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away, Our hearts were almost broken, You fought so hard to stay, But when we saw you sleeping, So peacefully free from pain, We could not wish you back To suffer that again. We will miss you. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 14 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or CancerCare, Manitoba.
