JOSEPH KAPROWY Peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2009 with family by his side, Joseph Kaprowy passed away at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 97 years. Joseph was predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary; brothers, Anthony, Emil, Harry, Steve and Jerry. Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his son Rick (Judy); grandchildren, Kerri (Jason) and Geoffrey and great-grandchildren, Joshua and Seth. He also leaves to mourn his passing his two sisters, Elizabeth and Olga. Joseph was a self-taught tradesman, he finally chose tailoring as his profession. Joseph and Mary were co-owners of Butterfly Tailors. They cherished their connections with their customers who became lifelong friends. They not only worked hard, but also took time to enjoy life with family and friends. Joseph had a strong relationship with his two grandchildren, going fishing, helping them sew their creations, and teaching them to love life to the fullest. Joseph's kindly nature allowed all to be comforted in his presence and will be remembered for the enjoyment that he brought to people's lives. He will be deeply missed and his memory will be cherished. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Riverview Health Centre CD3 for their extraordinary thoughtfulness, care and compassion they showed for Joseph over the years. According to Joseph's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joseph's name to the Siloam Mission, 300 Princess Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 1M3 or to Agape Table Inc., 175 Colony Street, Winnipeg, MB R3G 3R3.
