HENDRIK VERSTEEG Peacefully, after a brief illness, the LORD took unto Himself, His child, Hendrik Versteeg, on March 9, 2009 at the age of 74 years. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Fennie, in 2002. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Hank and Jackie Versteeg, Afiena and John deGroot, Linda and Gilbert Van Leeuwen, Wayne and Carolyn Versteeg, Bonnie Kuik, Kelly Versteeg, Juliette and Doug Dewitt. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at the Concordia Hospital for their care and concern. Visitation to be held on Thursday, March 12, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Funeral service will be held, D.V., on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 1:00 p.m., at the Grace Canadian Reformed Church, 211 Rougeau Ave., Winnipeg, with interment to follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
