Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAMELA IRENE BENSON (nee DICKENSON) July, 1937 to March, 2009 After a year long battle with cancer, Pam passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 8th, 2009 at the Moog and Friends Hospice centre in Penticton, BC. Pam was surrounded by friends and family and was showered with letters from friends from this country and the United Kingdom. Pam lived through the bombings of England in the Second World War, she went on to start a career and eventually marry Alan Benson and from there they immigrated to Canada in 1968. Pam and Alan built a life in Winnipeg and had two sons Steven Arthur and Ian Victor. In 1990 Pam and Alan moved out to Summerland to enjoy their retirement. Pam and Alan made many new friends in Summerland but none were more important to Pam than her friends at the Quilting club and the Garden club. Pamela and Alan were blessed with two daughters-in-law, Marianne and Katrina and four grandchildren, Curtis, Chace, Rowen and Sarah. Pam always put others before herself and would never fail to, help out a friend'. Many people will be saddened by her passing but the world will be a richer place due to her time on earth. Funeral service to be held at a later date. Sleep well Mum, you deserve it.
