LORRAINE JUNE WELLS (1925 - 2009) (nee SUTTIE) On Wednesday, March 11, 2009 Lorraine June Wells passed away at Concordia Hospital at the age of 83 years. Predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Wilfred, in 1995; her parents, Ada and George Suttie; and her sister Audrey Lowman. Left to treasure her memory brother-in-law Bill Wells (Charlotte); niece Valerie Hastings (John); brother-in-law Larry Lowman; nephew Scott (Barbara); niece Lisa; great-niece, great nephews, cousins and friends. Lorraine attended Prince Edward Elementary School and East Kildonan Collegiate. Shortly after graduating she went to work for Investors Syndicate, retiring after 35 years. Lorraine was a very kind person who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Many summers were spent at Matlock. She loved travelling, enjoyed going to the Ballet, Pop Concerts and family dinners. Lorraine was involved with the Transwood Bowling League for many years and supported many non-profit organizations. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Concordia Hospital. If friends so desire, donations can be made to the Parkinson Society of Manitoba or the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Funeral Service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 24 at 12:30 p.m. Viewing prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The Reverend Helen Manfield will be officiating.
