SANDRA BEATRICE PRYBYLSKI After an intense and very private two year battle with cancer, on March 12, 2009 at Riverview Health Centre, Winnipeg, Sandy Prybylski, aged 63 years of Winnipeg, MB. Survived by her children Michelle Cockerill (Gerry) of Arborg, MB; Shawn Prybylski (Pauline) of Kitscoty, AB; Darren Prybylski of Winnipeg and her eight grandsons Kyle, Zachary, Kelsey, Max, Riley, Austin, Travis and Carter. She also leaves to mourn her passing brothers and sisters Raymond (Dawna), Stewart, Ronald (Suzanne), Valerie (Ed), Judy (Wyman), Debbie, Karen (Laurie) and Wendy (Darrell). Predeceased by her husband Alvin in 1993, her parents Leo and Elsie, her brothers Randolph and Eugene and her sister Deanna. Sandy was born January 11, 1946 to Leo and Elsie McMillan in Portage La Prairie, MB. The family moved to Winnipeg and then Thompson where Sandy met Alvin Prybylski and they married on August 29, 1964. Michelle was born in 1967, Shawn in 1969 and Darren in 1977. In 1971 Alvin and Sandy moved their family and company, Alcam Trucking, to Lynn Lake where they remained until 1988 when they moved, with Darren to Stony Mountain, MB. After Alvin's death in 1993 Sandy and Darren moved to Stonewall and she later moved to Winnipeg. Sandy was active in the Legion Ladies Auxiliary, softball, bowling, bingo and she especially loved playing cards or yahtzee with her friends. She worked for a while at Canada Post and also did some catering. The family took many vacations but her favourite destination was always Las Vegas. Sandy was famous in Lynn Lake for her perogies, pickled eggs and cake decorating. Sandy was a private person but she formed many enduring loyal friendships everywhere she went. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all her friends and most especially by her family. The family would like to thank Tammy-Lee Rogowsky (Palliative Care), Dr. Maksymiuk, and the staff at CancerCare Manitoba and Riverview Health Centre. As per Sandy's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral. The interment of cremains will occur this spring with a private family gathering. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Box 2248 Station Main, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 9Z9 or the Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3L 2P4.
