Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICKI-LEE CHARMAINE JOHNSON It is with great sadness as we announce that Vicki passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 36 years of age. She is survived by her mother Lila Yelland (Louis); father Victor Johnson (Maria), and sister Sherri-Lyn Kowalchuk (Howie), as well as her grandmother Bessie Johnson and her aunts, uncles, cousins and extended step-family. As an active animal lover and activist, she also leaves behind her pets Spike, Izzy, Tia and Crisco. Vicki was born in Winnipeg on June 11, 1972 and grew up in the St. James area of Winnipeg. Upon graduation from John Taylor Collegiate and Scientific Marvel, she entered the field of Hair Styling. She demonstrated and inspired a passionate and imaginative love for style and fashion as she worked at SETS Beauty Salon and most recently at Pelo Loco Salon as a stylist and as Salon Director. Through her work she served as the hairstylist of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Blue Lightening, head stylist for the Wonderful Wedding Show as well as initiating and supporting many charity and community events. Vicki's caring, vibrant and loving personality was evident in every aspect of her life. Her family wishes to thank all of you for your tremendous support and care during this difficult time. Viewing will take place on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Cremation will follow with a memorial service to reflect upon and celebrate her life being held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street. A private family interment will be held at a later date at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Vicki's memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or the Manitoba Children's Museum. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
