LEONORE (LEE) MARIANNE RENNIE (nee McPHAIL) December 19, 1929 - March 13, 2009 Passed away peacefully at home with her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Only child of Donald and Leonore McPhail (Fox) of Winnipeg. Loving wife of Rev. Dr. Ian Rennie with whom she ministered through Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, Knox Presbyterian Church, Toronto and Fairview Presbyterian Church, Vancouver. She generously exercised her gifts of friendship, encouragement and hospitality, especially at Regent College and Tyndale Theological Seminary. After retirement, Lee and Ian returned to Vancouver to share in the lives of their loving family. Lee was blessed with four children; Mardythe Hewitt (Gary), Catherine (Brenda Walsh), Scott (Paula-Mae), Jillian (Andrew Strachan). Lee's (Pogo's) greatest joy was her four grandchildren; Marc and Liane Hewitt and Collin and Emma Rennie. A celebration of Lee's life will be held Thursday, March 19 at 12:30 p.m., Fairview Presbyterian Church, 11th and Fir, Vancouver. We would like to express sincere gratitude to the Vancouver Coastal Health Palliative Care Team for their excellent care and Dr. Will Johnston for his personal care and attention to Mom's wishes. In lieu of flowers donations to the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship or BC Cancer Society would be appreciated.
