Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD JOHN STEWART May 7, 1957 - March 14, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Don at home surrounded by his family. He is predeceased by his father Charlie in 2008. Left to mourn are his wife Heather; son Jeffrey; daughter Grace; mother and father-in-law, Bruce and Darlene Corbett; mother Irene; sisters, Shirley and Lorraine Stewart; brother-in-law Bill Corbett and Cyndy; nieces, Vanessa Stewart, Cassie Corbett and Olivia Tabin; nephews, Brock and Brett Corbett, Cameron Stewart and Keegan and Riley Tabin. Don was a fourth generation farmer in Lilyfield and cherished his home, the land and most of all working with his Dad and family. Don had many friends and remained a true gentleman during the most challenging of circumstances. His extraordinary bravery and character will forever be a source of inspiration to all. He was warm, quick witted, a welcoming host, an amazing Dad and husband and everybody's favourite uncle. Nobody was ever in trouble on Uncle Don's watch. He absolutely loved to entertain his family and friends. Don Stewart was special. Many thanks to Dr. John Bracken, Dr. Frank Renouf, Dr. Paul Daeninck and especially Vivian Heller who provided Don and his family with care and compassion beyond expectation for which they will be eternally grateful. Don was a truly special human being. He had good morals and faith in doing what was right. Being in his presence was calming and peaceful with laughter always involved. He had the absolute best humor and timing with every situation. He himself was a perfectionist with skill and intelligence to back it up. Don could make anyone feel important and valued other people's views and opinions. There was nothing he valued more then his children and family. He was always there when he was needed and is still watching over us in a different form. Always loved. - Posted by: Neil (Acquaintance ) on: Jan 11, 2013

Heather, My sympathy to you, Jeffery and Grace. Sweetie, I know your loss is profound and life altering but the bond of love, strength, grace and courage you shared with Don was not born of his illness, but grew from your partnership which began the day you met and will continue for eternity. When I met you, I saw the unique, passionate, loving, creative and humorous life force within you, and have seen through your sisterhood with Corinne that you have never betrayed your true self. Trust in the remarkable woman you are and the remarkable love you shared with Don. Love, Ellen - Posted by: Ellen McConaghy (Friend) on: Mar 19, 2009
