Date of Passing: Mar 14, 2009
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTRUDENE JEANETTE SNOWDON (nee MAXIM) Peacefully with her family at her side, Trudy passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the age of 61. Trudy was predeceased by her parents, Jules and Sabina. She leaves to mourn her loving husband Gary and her children Kristine, Richard (Mani and daughter Drew), Dale (Dawn and upcoming grandchild), her Auntie Gertie, Auntie Irene and numerous family and friends. Trudy met her one true love, her husband Gary in 1961 and married in 1968. Together they raised their three children in Winnipeg, MB. Trudy was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1971. Living with the challenges of MS for 38 years is a tribute to her determination and inner strength. Trudy will always be remembered as an incredible kind and compassionate person who always had the time to lend a caring ear for her family and friends. Trudy was a great animal lover and opened her home and heart to many strays. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, sewing, camping, fishing and long road trips in the family RV. For many years Trudy enjoyed and worked for the family business making electronic components. She later made crafts with proceeds donated to the MS Society. We would like to thank family and friends for their support during this difficult time. A special thanks to Pat Zacharias and Trudy's other care providers for their compassion over the years. We'd also like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Concordia Hospital and the Respiratory staff at Health Sciences Centre who have given us so many extra years with Trudy and also Home Care whose help allowed Trudy to continue living at home. She was a wife, a lover, a mother, a confidant, a friend and a fishing buddy. She possessed an inner strength to endure trials that others could not. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if one wished to make a donation in Trudy's name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Manitoba Division, 100-1465 Buffalo Place, Winnipeg, MB R3T 1L8, it would be greatly appreciated. Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolences at www.desjardins-funeral.ca DESJARDINS 233-4949 1-888-233-4949
