DENIS (DEUCE) MONDOR Peacefully at the Ste. Anne Hospital in Ste. Anne, Manitoba on Sunday, February 8, 2009, Mr. Denis Mondor of Ste. Geneviève, Manitoba passed away at the age of 64 years with sister Pauline and (René), nephew Marc and niece Lise by his side. Denis was born on January 3, 1945 in Winnipeg to Octave and Jeanne Mondor. He was raised and received his education in Lorette, Manitoba. He moved to Ste. Geneviève in 1984 and proceeded to work at the Monominto Nuisance Ground up until he retired in 2004. Denis was predeceased by his parents, sister Diane and great-niece Jordynn. He leaves to mourn his passing his step-mother Alphonsine Mondor, two sisters Jeannette (Marcel), Pauline (René) and two brothers, Rolly (Cathy), Louis (Annette), brother-in-law Marcel (Gail), eleven nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank the Ste. Anne Hospital and Sister Irene Rioux for their care and compassion. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons Street. A private interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date in Ste. Geneviève, Manitoba.
