FRANCES HENRIETTA BLONSKI 1942 - 2009 Suddenly on March 15, 2009 our beloved mother, sister and friend was invited into the arms of Our Lord. Left to cherish her memories are: her daughter, Mary (with Luis), her twin sons, Andrew (with Jamie, Riley and Raylene), and Michael, her son Collin and Randel Wynter, her brother Rudy Klaus of Edmonton (with Joy, and their children and families), her sister-in-law Eva Blonski with Barb and Neil McNeal, Ann with Mark Rogers and Alex, and Richard, and niece Isabel Ruchinski of Winnipeg and many nieces and nephews of Regina and Thunder Bay. Frances was predeceased by her husband Leslie, her son Edward, her mother Jadwiga Krassowski, her sisters Helen Klaus and Irene Tomaszewski and several family members in Winnipeg and Edmonton. Frances was born in Lodz, Poland on November 12, 1942. During the Second World War, Mom moved throughout Europe (learning several languages) and finally came to Canada in 1950. She graduated from St. John's High School and took the following year to work so that she could pursue her dream and passion. She attended Teacher's College and graduated. Mom realized her dream by spending several years as a teacher and Principal at Holy Ghost School. Mom then divided her time with a career at Canada Post and raising her family. At the young age of 50, Mom graduated with her Bachelor of Education from the University of Winnipeg. She spent the next several years at home, with her family and soon after, ventured over to work at Canada Revenue Agency where she made many friendships. She insisted on working even after she could have retired. Mom was a highly respected and valued employee by her co-workers and management alike. She will always be remembered for her smile, her positive attitude and fun loving spirit by her family and friends. She was a very caring and giving individual who put everyone she met, before herself. Prayers will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Monday, March 23, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church with an Oblate Father officiating.
