ETHEL A'BEAR March 31, 1911 - March 14, 2009 After 98 wonderful years mom left us on Saturday, March 14, 2009 to be with her Eddie, parents Ethel and Bert Dale, sister Nora, brother Jerry and friend Wally. She leaves to treasure her memory her two sons, Ted of Teulon and Jim (Shirley) of Calgary. Also surviving are her grandchildren Gerry, Carla, Katheryne, Christopher (Brigitte); great-grandchildren Matthew, Rachael, Nathan, Aidan and many nieces. Mom was born in Winnipeg, March 31, 1911 and moved to Gunton at the age of 10. She met her Eddie and married in 1937. They lived and worked in Stonewall for a short period of time and then moved to St. James where she lived for 60 years. During that time she was a stay at home mother and in her spare time she volunteered at Deer Lodge Red Cross Center. Mom enjoyed bingo and was an avid card player easily winning several games over her granddaughter Carla. She loved to travel, enjoying vacations in Vancouver, Phoenix and Macomb. With her passing comes the end of an era - that generation of parents who are all gone now, closing a memorable and wonderful legacy in our family's history. Mom, we will miss the smiles and kindness you brought into the world. The family would like to especially thank Ruthie; all the attentive home care workers, the staff at the Grace Hospital and many friends and neighbours for their compassionate care and thoughtfulness. At mom's request there will be no service. A gathering in her memory will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined.
