Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD (DANNY) JOHN HANNA He peacefully went to be with the Lord, after a lengthy illness on March 17, 2009. He was a loving husband of 53 years to Alison, devoted dad to Lauren, Kevin, Gord and Ryan and the best grandpa ever to Kelsey, Kaitlyn, Abby, Laury, Erika, Grace, Haelen and Delaney. A funeral service to celebrate Danny's life will be held on Monday, March 23 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Interment to follow at St. Vital Cemetery.

My wife and I were greatly privileged to have Don as a brother-in-law during the more than fifty years he was married to my sister. I found him to be the kind of man one values not for what he accomplished in life, though that was considerable, but for himself as a person. He was upright, honest, trustworthy and dependable. I remember that in his earlier days, he had a quick Irish temper that would suddenly blaze out at some injustice but just as quickly pass. One of our sons said it all: ‘Don was one sweet guy’.
