Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLUCY MARION MONDOR (nee VANDAL) It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Lucy Mondor on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 73 years. Lucy was predeceased by her loving husband Rosaire in 1996, her brothers, Robert and Jerry; sisters, Noella, Margaret and Georgette. Left to cherish her memory are brothers, John, David and Arthur; daughters, Joanne (Charlie) Scangulia, Darlene (Tony), Jardine, Tracy (Allan), Melody (Keith), Candace (Duane), Nicole (Manny); sons: Brian, Walter, Gary (Diane), John (Tracy), Robert, as well as 34 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Lucy was born in Brokenhead, Manitoba, on May 5, 1935, and moved to St. Boniface at a young age with her family, where she eventually met her husband Rosaire. They were married on December 8, 1951, and raised their family in Winnipeg. Mom loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved to cook and feed family and friends. One of her favourite hobbies was making doll clothes and while at Riverview she took up painting, creating many beautiful pieces of art. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Riverview Health Centre especially on CD-3 for the care and compassion given to Lucy and our family during her stay there. Your kindness will never be forgotten. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, March 24 in the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St. at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, March 25 in the Holy Family Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Ste. Rita, Manitoba. Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Daniel Mondor, Isa e Vandal, Trevor Vandal, Brad Whitney, John Moar, Erin Mondor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3L 9Z9. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. COUTU CO.
