MARILYNN STEFANIA PERICH (nee GEE) April 19, 1932 - March 18, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marilynn Perich on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at St. Boniface Hospital, with her family by her side. Marilynn's memory will be cherished by Ted, her husband of 56 years, sons David, Doug (Carroll), daughter Susan (Howard), grandchildren Wesley and Kristen, brothers Gary (Jean), Michael (Cathy), sister-in-law Eileen, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Stefania and brother Ron. Marilynn was born and raised in Elmwood and graduated from Lord Selkirk High School. Marilynn started work at Canada Packers, where she met the love of her life, Ted. After taking time off to have and raise three children, she returned to work as a legal secretary, retiring in 1991. As a teenager Marilynn's many talents began to emerge, most notably with cross-stitching, which she continued to do until her stroke in 2005 made this impossible. Her work hangs in family and friends homes all across Canada. She was also an accomplished seamstress, whipping out designer clothes for her family during the late 50s and into the late 60s. Marilynn also excelled in ceramics, producing award-winning ceramic pieces. Marilynn also watched and supported any Canadian sports team, especially curling and the CFL. Much to Ted's puzzlement, Marilynn became a Tiger Woods fan and would shush Ted when Tiger was putting. Marilynn and Ted loved to travel and spend time with friends. As per Marilynn's request cremation has taken place and no service will be held. The family would like to thank the medical staff at St. Boniface Hospital, the ambulance attendants, but would especially like to thank all of Marilynn's home care attendants: Jennifer, Lenka, Elke, Jackie, Krystyna,Donna, Lorraine, Audra, and Irene. These ladies went above and beyond their duties and Marilynn enjoyed their company immensely. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, please make a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, R3T 0R3. Glen Eden Memorial Gardens

  • Not a day goes by that I think about you. Your fearless, but subtle advise, you are the wisest person I have ever known. We did not have enough time together... forgive me, I did not make it to your side, eternal regret, I love you mom, forever and always, till we meet again, so much love, you were my everything, no one else in my life. "You got my thought waves”. S - Posted by: Susan Perich (Daughter ) on: Dec 15, 2019
