RALPH MCLEOD WELCH Peacefully at rest, Ralph passed away on March 16, 2009 at Boyne Lodge, Carman, MB. Born at Virden, MB February 12, 1917 Ralph held various jobs in various areas and after three years in the R.C.N.V.R. during the Second World War settled in Roland, MB where he ran a successful Garage and Bulk Fuel Business. Predeceased by his parents; two brothers, three sisters and infant son Ralph Ernest, Ralph leaves to mourn Mary, loving wife and partner for 69 years and two beloved children, daughter Hazel (Bill) Byle of St. Andrews and son Kenneth (Frances) Welch of Winnipeg. Ralph also leaves to mourn five grandchildren: Shelley (John) Stevens of West Virginia, Rebecca Juenke of Souris, MB, Patti (Norman) Swan of Anola, MB, Angela (Rick) Kaisser of Winnipeg and Mark (Tanya) Welch of Winnipeg; 16 great-grandchildren: Larry, Thomas, Daniel, Stacy, Jeremy, William, Shane, Wyatt, Darcy, Devon, Kevin, Kristina, Logan, Ella, Lane and Ty; four great-great-grandchildren: Delyka, Sadies, Brandy and Jake; one brother Clinton (Doreen) Welch of Roland and one sister Delia Johnson of Brandon; also extended family members in all parts of Canada and the US. He also leaves a host of friends, for Ralph was a friendly man. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family interment. Thank you to Boyne Lodge for the care Ralph received.
