Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES ROLAND HARPER September 30, 1930 March 21, 2009 With a smile and a tear Dad left his home on earth to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Peacefully on Saturday morning surrounded by his loving family we watched Dad's spirit rise to heaven. Dad will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 64 years Mae. His children: Dave (Deb), Jimmy (Janet), Karen, Gail (Jeff), Kurt (Janice), Deanne (Todd), Lana and Darren along with 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren are so thankful to have shared our lives with such a wonderful Father and Papa. Family and Faith was the centre of his life. So many happy memories are those of the entire family being together for any occasion we may have celebrated. Food, laughter and fun were an integral part of these times together and will continue to be. The family attended the Elmwood Church of the Nazarene where Dad sat on the board for many years. In 1988 Dad made the decision to answer his calling and transfer as a member to the First Nations Community Church where he served as a well respected Elder in service of the aboriginal people. Vern Dyck and Chris Langenin has always had a special place in Dad's heart. Thank you so much as Dad really enjoyed his work with Springhill Lumber. We would like to thank the staff of Country Road (500 wing) at Bethania Personal Care Home for the loving and dignified care you provided our Dad during his stay there. We invite you to a Celebration of Dad's life to be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Viewing at 12:00 p.m. and Service at 1:00 p.m. at the Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 653 Knowles Avenue, Rev. Larry Wilson officiating. Cremation will take place following the service with a private family interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bethania Personal Care Home Recreation Department . Call unto me and I will show you great and mighty things which thou knowest not . Jeremiah 33:3 Funeral Arrangements in care of: WHEELER FUNERAL CHAPEL 211 REGENT AVENUE (AT BOND) 224-1525

My Dad you were an awesome father and such a God fearing Man, I am so glad to have had you in my life. You meant and still mean the world to me. Thinking of you as we are nearing the third year without you. It hasn't been easy but through time and the faith you have instilled in me will be a great help. Love you my Dad.... - Posted by: Lana (Daughter) on: Mar 13, 2012
