DIANNE BLATCH (PETRIN) 1943 -2009 We are sad to announce the passing of Dianne on March 23, 2009, after a long battle with Cancer. Dianne was pre-deceased by her parents, Noel and Shirley Petrin. Dianne is survived by her loving husband Thomas Blatch of 46 years. She leaves to mourn her son David; daughters, Cindy (Brian) and Susan (Larry) and two loving grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sisters, Pat (Brian), Carole (Cliff) and Terry (Mike); and brother James (Colleen), and many nieces and nephews. Dianne will be remembered for her love for her family and her loving spirit and clever wit. She had an amazing way with gardening. Her garden and house plants flourished under her care. She was also talented in many other areas such as crafting dried flower arrangements and other creative pastimes. Dianne also had a love for reading which she has past down to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to music, especially travelling to Neil Diamond concerts with her oldest daughter Cindy. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Mary's Road United Church, 613 St. Mary's Road on Friday, March 27 at 11:30 a.m. We would like to thank the nurses and the homecare workers from Palliative Care. Also, thank you to the doctors and nurses of Riverview Health Centre for the great care they provided.
